The city boasts 2 major railway station, manchester victoria and manchester piccadilly. it is also served by national & local bus & coach services, many of which leave from the city's chorlton street bus station.
Manchester rose to prominence in the 19th century, when it was at the middle of the industrial revolution. The city was ideal for the textile trade as it had a humid atmosphere, as well as a capable supply of water. The city's rivers also provided water power that ran the machinery in the mills. the ready supply of coal & the transportation network of railways & roads also helped it to become an industrial centre. for this reason, countless cotton mills started springing up throughout the city.
Manchester's cotton mills still exist today, although many of them have been transformed into flats & offices. thank you to the 1996 ira bomb that destroyed a lotof the city centre, Manchester also has various modern structures, too.
Manchester has many things to do, which include sometimes exciting galleries and museums, which are extremely fun to explore.
